vmwaretools update on SLES10 SP2 fail

Hi all,

after a vmware tools update on a VM with SLES10 SP2 and the first rebbot the VM doesn't start...

Itremains on a message:

Waiting for device /dev/sda1 to appear: ..................not

-- exiting to /bin/sh

I tryed also to remove the existing vmware tools before to install the new version but after the remove and rebbot the message appear again before the new installation.

So I think that the problem is in the removal of the existing vmware tools.

I am running the VM on a VSA 5.1

Any idea?
