Re: How to use second router for Virtual Server?

Right, I've found the solution but I thought I would share it for people who don't know.

Router Setup as follows:

ISP-Router to Host(NIC_1) for Host Connectivity (192.168.0.1)

ISP-Router to Cisco-Router (Internet Port) (192.168.1.1)

MUST be on different subnets

Cisco-Router to Host(NIC_2) (in the Adapter Properties of NIC_2, ALL check boxes except from VMware Bridge Protocol MUST be unchecked so HOST don't use NIC_2)

From VMware, Virtual Network Editor, Bridged Connection Type should be selected as MANUAL that points to your NIC_2

AND

from the Virtual Machine settings, for Network Adapter, "Custom: Specific Virtual Network" should point to NIC_2.

This will enable you to use your second NIC for your virtual machine (but the MAC Address will be assigned by VMware.. causes no problems at all)

Your virtual operating system, in my case Windows Server 2008 R2, will not have connectivity until you assign static TCP/IPv4 address.

This will isolate your virtual network from your home network.

I hope this helps other.
