The machine is two years old, and it suffered some virus infection and disinfections... unfortunately.
For some unknown reason localhost doesn't work for me, it's assigned to 127.0.0.1 but it's not working. Other permission related issues I've noticed as well.
Looking at Process Explorer the agent was listening to michelle:9089, michelle being the machine's name. When trying with localhost, it immediately gave an error about SSL seen below. Changed it to michelle, my username (admin group) and password worked. I'm on Windows 7 32-bit BTW, the admin account is disabled.

It got me to asking to uninstall the agent, but selecting either option would result in this:
