HI, I tried to start a virtual machine in a copy that was already working, I Iast used it 2 days ago, and for some reason it said if couldn't start the Authentication service, I checked all dependancies and couldn't find anything wrong, thinking that it was caused by a MS update, I uninstalled VMWare workstation. Now I can't install it for the same reason above.
Does anyone have a clue why this is happening?
I've tried a cleanup as per, Cleaning up after an incomplete uninstallation on a Windows host (1308), without success. I've disabled UAC, applied the correct reg permissions, cleaned out files and folders and checked user account permissions, I've also downloaded the installation software again in case that was the problem.
Can someone please advise?
