В этот раз проблема решилась установкой ESXi 4.1. Возможно в 5,1 версии есть какие-то изменения, касающиеся сети.

Да, образ скачан в оффсайта Fujitsu.Возможно, нужно оговорить, что в железке установлены сетевые только с одной стороны. Может он(ESXi5.1) подхватывает не ту сетевую, что 4.1.

The best solution is to setup NFS or SMB on that specific server. You could upload it to the datastore and use SCP getting it from the ESXi server but I wouldn't advise this.
